WHAT I LEARNT FROM MY KIDS

As a parent, a role model it is up to us to teach our children responsibility. Children learn through actions and follow rather than being told. To them being told is discipline and a sign they are doing something wrong. If we as adults take responsibility in our own lives, our children see that and tend to adopt taking responsibility as their own. Allowing and prompting children to do things for themselves like cleaning up after themselves especially as they grow older encourages personal responsibility. Don't make a rod for your own back and take personal responsibility away from them. In the long term you are doing them more harm than good
